Santa Ponça Beach

This beach is one of the most famous in Calvià area due to the historical facts that took place here. Right here is where King Jaume I disembarked in 1229 to retake te Balearic Islands form the arabs. This fact is celebrated every September 8th, when Santa Ponça’s beach and streets get “invaded” by many people dressed up as Arabs or Christians.
