When the walls were built, when the architecht came to see with his own eyes was going on in Ibiza in mid XVI centuty, he realized there was a new quartier outside the old walls. So he decided to change the project and protect this new neighbourhood and with it a bigger and more advanced part of the harbour.
This is Santa Lucía Bastion, when you are in the other side of the port or you´re going to Formentera and look upwards, remembers you a made of stone vessel´s stem.
Very nice view of the whole city and the harbour wall, if you turn around you have a fantastic sight from the old town and our Cathedral.
