This Baroque building became property of Llucmajor’s city council in 1842, after the exclaustration of the Franciscans monks who inhabited it, and was used as the Guardia Civil headquarters, court and slaughterhouse. Nowadays, the space has been reconverted into an important cultural centre, with a permanent exhibition of 17th century painted tiles depicting different religious cults that were found inside the monastery. The building also hosts temporary exhibitions, concerts and many other cultural activities.
