This unusual museum is a project by the Foundation Yannick and Ben Jakober, established in 1993 by the married artists and collectors Yannick Vu and Ben Jakober and the philanthropist Georges Coulon Karlweis.

The museum has 7 different spaces: the Hassan Fathy Building is the main one, it was constructed by the Egyptian architect that names it and houses modern and contemporary artworks. The SoKraTES Space, is inspired by Einstein’s concepts of Space and Time and it gathers together works form very different places and times in order to create “new dialogues”. The Sculpture Park, composed by beautiful animals inspired by archaeological pieces. The Portraits of Children room, one of the most original collections in all Europe, formed by more than 150 portraits of children from the 16th to the 19th centuries form different European countries. The rose garden, designed by Yannick Vu, featuring more than one hundred varieties of English roses. And the observatory/camera, a reproduction of a “Camera Obscura” by the photographer Nilu Izadi.
