Mallorca Museum

The Museum of Mallorca is state-owned, managed by the Government of the Balearic Islands. It was created in 1961 from the collections of the former Provincial Museum of Fine Arts and the local archaeological collection. The museum is divided into several sections: archeology, ethnography, fine arts and decorative and industrial arts, all of them related to Mallorca’s history and culture.

The headquarters are located in the city centre, close to the cathedral, and there are other two sections out of Palma: the ethnological one, in Muro, and the one about the ancient Roman city of Pollentia, located in Alcudia.
