The second Church to be built in Formentera and it was because of the big distance that the residents from La Mola had to walk to Sant Francisco to attend Mass. We´re talking about 1780´s aproximately and there were very few people to have a horse, a mule or a cart to get down to San Francisco
It is the only one in Formentera presenting a porch at its entrance to guard the door.
