Ethnological Museum Muro

This small museum preserves objects from the traditional culture of the pre-touristic Mallorca and it occupies two adjacent buildings connected by a corral.

The first building, typical of the rural nobility, was built in the 17th century and became property of the architect Gabriel Alomar, who donated it to the museum. Apart from depicting the traditional majorcan house, there are also samples of agricultural tools and related field work as well as traditional ceramics from the 18th to the 20th centuries. In the corral an antique waterwheel and animal traction elements are exposed.

The second building houses a representation of traditional crafts: blacksmith, saddler, shoemaker, carpenter, silversmith and others.
