Cap Andritxol Tower

Cap Andritxol Tower was built between 1580 and 1582 180 metres above sea level. As the other towers located around Mallorca’s coastline, this one was constructed to protect the island from possible attacks from the sea. The most characteristic aspect of this construction is that the houses inhabited by the men working at the tower are still conserved. The excursion to get here is very pleasant, a one hour walk that includes a pines path, astonishing views and Cala des Monjo, a small unspoiled cala perfect for a swim.
