Can Tomeu – Colony house

Casa de can Tomeu, which is a cultural interest landmark (BIC), is located in the neighborhood of Can Escandell (Calle de Jondal, 47). It is a typical Ibizan house part of the Heritage Catalog of the municipality of Eivissa.
It is currently attached to the Youth Department of the City of Ibiza and is intended to carry out activities within the scope of non-formal education.
It offers three types of different services for group accommodation, educational offer for schools with an educational classroom and booking of equipment.
The facilities have an accommodation capacity for 38 people. It is divided into a first room for 16 people, a second room for 14 people and a room for 8 people intended mainly for the personal monitor accompanying children under age. All rooms are adapted for people with reduced mobility. For the coexistence and the specific activities the house is equipped with two training rooms, two independent dining rooms, two kitchens, one of them traditional with a wood oven. The house also has two bathrooms, one female and one male, which have 8 communal showers and 4 toilets each.
It has 400 square meters of installation in which there is a traditional and ecological orchard that is destined to carry out activities of typical agriculture.
