Can Marqués is the only stately home that can be visited in Palma, dating from 14th century. It’s located in the heart of the city’s historical centre, showing the original decorations of romantic style and giving a vision of the lifestyle and habits of the palmesana bourgeoisie around 1900. Since the last renovation was carried out in 1906, it has retained its spaces intact to this day. The building is nowadays a museum of contemporary art, exhibiting art installations and works of emergent artists.
