Archeological Site Son Fornés

Son Fornés is an archaeological site of the prehistoric era built in the Talayotic period (10th century BC) which lasted until mid 7th century BC. It consists of three large circular talaiots, one of which is the largest in Mallorca, and a significant number of buildings of Postalaiotic and Roman periods. Since 1975 regular excavations have been conducted and they are still going on. All the objects found in this site are exposed at the Archeological Museum of Son Fornés in Montuïri. The access to the site is very simple, the signals are perfectly visible from the main road connecting Montuïri and Pina.
