Almacenes l’Águila Façade

Almacenes l’Águila were formerly a store, which building was designed by Gaspar Bennassar and Jaume Alenyà in 1908 in Art Nouveau style. Its commercial function entailed that the building needed to achieve the maximum space utilisation and have a lot of light in its interior. For this reason, iron was used in the structure, as to permit a better use of space. The façade with large openings that draw people’s attention and favor the entry of outside light is a popular landmark in the city centre of Palma.
