Let´s Clean Formentera! Plastic Free Formentera and Que Celeste would like to invite you to take part in the World Clean Up Day, the biggest global civic action that will attempt to clean the world from all type of waste in a single day.
The 15th of September, millions of people in 150 countries will stand up against the global mismanaged waste problem.
The newly formed Plastic Free movement Formentera and its members are joining the ‘Let´s Do It World Clean up’ movement, aiming to raise awareness about waste and plastic pollution, as well as promoting alternative solutions.
How can you participate:
1. Form a team: invite your friends, family your colleagues and join us to clean the beaches or the inland of Formentera. Please send us an email with your name and the number of people of your group: plasticfreeformentera@gmail.com
2.Be a volunteer and join one of our teams. Please send an email plasticfreeformentera@gmail.com
3. Spread the word. Like & share the event. Share photos,& videos on the day using the hashtags #worldcleanup #letsdoitformentera
Meeting points
The day has been organized so that there are activities in different places on the island in different hours so that everyone will have the opportunity to participate:
• Chapel of sa Tanca Vella, Sant Francesc, at 10 o’clock.
• Cala en Baster at 10:30 a.m. (Association of Neighbors Island of Formentera)
• Insotel Formentera Playa, at 12:00 a.m. (Be Blue by Trasmapi)
• Platja d’es Pujols, at 12:00 a.m. (Qué Celeste Association)
• Cala Saona, at 5:30 p.m. (Formentera Walking)
• Es Calo de San Agustí, at 6:00 p.m. (Disfruta Formentera)
• Cleaning of the seabed in s’Espalmador; Time to consult Vellmarí and Formentera Divers. (small groups and with pre-registration at the diving centers).
• Faro de la Mola, Sunday, September 16, at 11:00 a.m. (Penjats de Formentera, closed group)
At the main beaches of the island you will find information points where you can get a “cleaning pack” and instructions prepared from ‘Lets do it Formentera’
Plastic Free Formentera Platform and Qué Celeste Association we encourage all people who will participate ath the World Cleanup Day tt take lots of photos and videos and share them on instagram and social media always using the hasthtags #plasticfree, #worldcleanupday and #letsdoitformentera so we can show the world all the cleaning that will happen in Formentera .
