Every year, the days of the saints of the towns and villages of Ibiza and Formentera are days of great popular celebration where traditions, culture and sports are celebrated by a big festival program of activities for all ages.
Sant Francesc de s’Estany, the small village next to Ses Salines ponds in the island of Formentera, celebrates the great day of their patron saint on April 2. Never missing the traditional processions headed by the image of San Francisco de Paula after the musical beat of the Colla de Sant Jordi around the church.
The town offers typical Ibizan sweets such as ‘flaó’ and ‘orelletes’ for free. There is also the famous baile ‘pagès’ (typical traditional folk dance) performance.
