IMS Ibiza consists of three-days of the most comprehensive and compelling live seminars and debates amongst the leaders of the international music community featuring Keynote Speeches, Interviews, technology master classes, the IMS Business Report which has become the industry’s leading data study and is picked up by worldwide media. The event has been the source of major industry deals and press launches. Major brands also use IMS as a platform to launch initiatives in the electronic music space – from Corona to Sol to Pioneer to Blackberry to Nokia to Burn/Coca Cola.
The IMS Legends Dinner – artist awarded to date includes Cocoon & Sven Väth for 2015.
The IMS Grand Finale Festival on Thursday and Friday night held in the unique Dalt Vila location: A UNESCO World Heritage Site.
International Music Summit is an educational, inspirational and motivational thought leadership platform dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, electronic music, the artistry related to DJing and all related popular art forms, primarily through the presentation of summits and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of the genre to art and culture worldwide. IMS hosts major events annually in Ibiza, Los Angeles and now Singapore.
IMS – THE HISTORY
The International Music Summit presented by Pete Tong was created in 2007 to inspire debate, discuss and help implement change in electronic music.
It is now “The Premier Platform for Thought Leadership in Electronic Music”. IMS began when electronic music was at rock bottom; Ibiza was the place where the industry always congregated every summer, so naturally it was the platform to begin our vision.
IMS continues to pave the way in the electronic music industry. Described by media as “the TED of music conferences”, in 2013 three IMS panels were voted in the Top 10 electronic music debates of all-time by the Beatport platform.
The IMS calendar year starts in April with IMS Engage in Hollywood and then onto IMS Ibiza in May – the main event. The ambition of IMS is to continue to grow, continue the debate and help the genre to innovate.
