The Geminid shower is the last of the year and certainly the most spectacular by the abundance of shooting stars. Although the frequency is similar to the Perseid meteor shower (two per minute), the Geminids are larger and more slowly across the sky. You will see from the 4th to the 17th of December.
As usual, the busiest night will be from 13 to 14 December (Sunday to Monday).
We´re having new moon that night, so the sky will be dark and the conditions to see the Geminids will be ideal.
In previous years they were recorded up to 160 meteors per hour.
