This formula is now tested for stage races, it will run 5 races different from each other by distances 9/10/13/10/21 Km all on dirt roads and side streets.

Stage 1 – 9,2 km Hotel Riu la Mola – Hotel Riu la Mola

Stage 2 – 7,8 km Cap de Barbaria Lighthouse – Cap de Barbaria Lighthouse
Departure and arrival at the lighthouse in the most beautiful and unspoilt part of the island. Mixed route with about 4 km of asphalt and about 5 km of dirt road.

Stage3 – 12,2 km Estanis des Peix – Cala Saona – Estanis des Peix
Leaving behind Estanis des Peix Peix pond, gravel roads and light rail to the cliffs of Punta Negra, about 2 km of rocky cliff at the bottom to Cala Saona, return to the pond through dirt roads.

Stage 4 – 8 km Savina – Park Salinas – Playa de ses Illetes – Savina
Starting near the port of La Savina, crossing a dirt road of the park area of Saline, 2 km of sandy beach along the East, passage inside the “saline “trail till up on arrival

Stage 5 – km 21 La Mola Lighthouse – La Mola Lighthouse
Among pine forests in the wildest part of Formentera with amazing views of the ocean, we will run on hidden Formentera roads.
This stage is by itself a race, called “21,1 Formentera Trail”

The total distance is about 60 kms to be run in 5 days with a rest day on Friday, the path is almost entirely off road and well signed.
Refreshments are provided only in the stage of 12,2 km and 21 km half marathon, so it is required to run with at least 0.50 cl of water in a belt bottle, the distances are not excessive and the seasonal temperatures could be high and create problems for athletes not used to running with the heat.
